Our legacy begins here

Twenty years marks a turning point. This is our moment to be bold and to plant seeds that will grow into lasting opportunity, access, and impact for future generations of women at Spelman and beyond.

Why We’re Giving Now

Spelman prepared us to lead with confidence, purpose, and responsibility. Twenty years later, we step forward as beneficiaries of that preparation and as stewards of what comes next. Our goals represent seeds we are planting together intentionally, collectively, and with the future in mind.

Service in Action

When you give to Spelman, you join thousands of alumnae investing in the next generation of changemakers. Your participation matters: Alumnae participation signals trust, momentum, and shared commitment to Spelman’s future.

Our Goals

  • 100% Participation: Rooted in Unity

Participation is the foundation of everything we are building. One hundred percent participation means every Sister has a place in this moment, regardless of gift size. When we show up together, we create the collective strength needed to plant seeds that grow far beyond our milestone reunion year.

Current: 33.2% through April 15, 2026 *Percentage reflected is for 2026 only

  • $50,000 Scholarship: Planting a Seed

This scholarship is our first tangible investment in the future. It provides direct support for a Spelman student today while establishing the seed from which deeper access, opportunity, and long-term impact can grow.

Note: We are inviting 2-3 Sisters to serve as founding stewards for this scholarship, working in partnership with the class to bring it to life. (Leadership and steward role, not sole funding responsibility)

  • $1M Class Giving: Building the Foundation

Our $1 million goal is aspirational and represents the foundation for a much larger vision. It signals our readiness, twenty years in, to invest boldly and collectively in Spelman’s future, creating the struture upon which sustained impact and legacy will be built.

    Current: $192,532.59 through April 15, 2026

What Participation Means

Your participation says, “I’m part of this.” Whether your gift is $10 or $10,000, one-time or monthly, it strengthens the foundation we’re building together. Each gift counts and helps plant the seeds for long-term impact.

How To Give

If a one-time gift feels like a stretch, monthly giving allows you to participate meaningfully while helping our collective vision grow over time.

  • Make a one-time gift at any level to support our giving goals.

  • Monthly giving allows you to participate comfortably over time while helping our collective vision grow steadily and sustainably.

  • Every gift, regardless of amount or frequency, counts toward our 100% class participation goal.

Committing to Transparency

We believe in shared accountability. Progress toward each goal will be updated regularly so our class can see our collective impact.

Looking Ahead

Our work today sets the foundation for what our class will build in the years ahead, including our path toward Golden Girl status at fifty years. This is the beginning of that journey.

Standing Together

We are proud to recognize the sisters whose generosity is shaping the legacy of the Spelman College Class of 2006. Each gift represents a shared commitment to the future of Spelman women and the continued strength of our beloved college. These names represent more than donors. As this list grows, so does the impact of the Class of 2006. We celebrate those who have already given and thank them for helping lead the way.

Growing Momentum: 204 classmates have joined the Class of 2006 Giving Circle (Updated May 15, 2026).

Add your name to the growing circle of Class of 2006 supporters and help us continue building a legacy that will uplift Spelman women for generations to come.

  • No. Participation is about showing up, not equal giving. Every gift, regardless of amount, counts toward our 100% class participation goal.

  • The $1 million goal is a collective target. It becomes achievable through participation at every level and shared commitment over time.

  • Yes, monthly giving options are available and allow you to participate comfortably while helping our collective goals grow steadily over time.

  • No. Founding stewards provide leadership and guidance. Once established, the $50,000 scholarship is funded collectively by the class.

  • That matters. There is no minimum gift to participate. Every contribution strengthens our collective effort and moves us closer to our goals.

  • This is great! Complete any requirements with your company, internally, and include the company’s name on your Spelman donation form.

  • If you’d like your gift to be counted in our 20th reunion totals, please make your gift at least one week before reunion. Donations received after 2pm ET, May 15, will not be included in our reunion total.

  • Students’ tuition covers only a part of their costs, and Spelman’s endowment safeguards the future. Restricted grants also have limits. When you give to Spelman’s annual fund it fills critical gaps supporting scholarships, faculty excellence, student wellness, and the programs that define the Spelman experience.

  • First, thank you for your contribution. If you don’t see your name on the donors list, please complete the Contact Form below or let us know via our class GroupMe chat. We will reach out to Spelman on your behalf. You are also welcome to contact the Office of Alumnae Giving directly.
